FAM Foundation Launches Third Edition of Marine Research Grant for Portuguese Institutions
The FAM Foundation is proud to announce the launch of the third edition of the FAM Grants programme (2025/26), reaffirming its strong commitment to promoting Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG 14) — the conservation and sustainable use of oceans, seas, and marine resources. Following the success of previous editions, which brought forward outstanding and impactful projects across Portugal, the Foundation anticipates a new round of proposals that continue to demonstrate scientific excellence and social relevance.
The call is exclusively open to Portuguese marine research institutions, with a particular interest in both applied and fundamental research, especially work conducted in deep-sea environments, open ocean systems, and insular coastal ecosystems. The Foundation acknowledges the significant role these institutions play in advancing marine science and policy.
